Bitter & Jealous

Let me look at the life that I have missed.
Let me glance down the path walked by the feet that I have kissed.
Take your monopoly house on the hill,
And if you get lonely you can take another pill.

You swear I'm just bitter and jealous, and
I'll tell you, that may be true,
But if I am, then I am not
Jealous of you.

You shine like the sun on a hazy day,
So bright I have to look away.
You tempt and you charm with your beauty and wit,
But sound the alarm, 'cause I think you're full of it.

You swear I'm just bitter and jealous, and
I'll tell you, that may be true,
But if I am, then I am not
Bitter about you.

Don't say you're sorry.
I don't need your sympathy.
I have no jealousy for you.
Don't pity me.

You walk in the room and heads turn.
I walk in behind you and get freezer burn,
But if I took some time I'd realize
That everything's different when I see through your eyes.

You don't care that I'm just bitter and jealous, 'cause it's
Not a possibility.
You always thought I pitied you for being
Bitter about me,
Jealous of me.
