She Had It In

There once was a woman - didn't love no man.
Didn't love nobody.  She said she can't.
'Cause one day this woman met a man on the road.
He treated her nice one time, and she followed him wherever he'd go.

But oh boy, she had it in.
There was nothing but trouble in him.

She learned how to cook.  She learned how to clean.
She learned how to take his hits when he felt mean.
She cried all alone when he wasn't around.
She knew he was sleepin' on the wrong side of town.

And oh boy, she had it in.
She was cryin' over him.

One day he came home to a mighty surprise.
His woman was waiting, and it shocked his eyes.
Now since that day, Woman's been all alone.
She don't need no man after what he'd done.

And oh boy, she had it in.
She took care of him.
